Before construing our identities online our group decided to draw out potential names and evaluate them into why we would and choose these identities.
Our first identity is called PICTURHOUSE productions.
The Plan
What are group planned to do is to make the movie reel move up and down the page in sync with the word 'PICTUREHOUSE' appearing on the screen letter by letter. Then lastly the audience will see the word 'presents'.
WWW:
Our group really liked the idea of this production identity as it represents the cinema. It is also original and we have not seen an film identity like this before therefore we thought that our audience would appreciate it. Our group picked the word picture house because it related to the cinema and our group wanted make sure that all our film identities are relatable to the big screen. Lastly this identity would be easy to edit, therefore it will be easier for our group who has little ICT experience.
EBI:
Our group could not find any negatives with this film identity.
Our second identity is called 'SCREEN PRODUCTIONS'
The Plan:
The plan for this production identity is to have the television with a grey fuzzy screen then the words 'SCREEN PRODUCTIONS' appears. The lastly the words'presents' appears at the end.
WWW:
A strength of this identity is that it would be very easy to edit and create. It also represents the film industry which was the aim of the group.
EBI:
A limitation of this production identity is that our group was divided with whether we should use this identity or not. This is because my teammate Ellie thought that the idea is very basic and does not exhibit a lot of ICT skills. She also believed that even though it makes reference to the films as it is on a screen it reminds her of television shows rather than films. Additionally she thought that the title 'SCREEN PRODUCTIONS' is very boring and not very creative.
Our third identity is called 'NEON CINEMA'
The Plan:
Our group decided that this identity will have a black background the words 'NEON' will in bright pink and the word 'CINEMA' will be in bright blue. This identity will have a flashing effect like a flash torch making each word highlighted.
WWW:
One thing that our group liked about this identity is that it is creative and we can use bold colors, which you do not really see in other production identities. Our group also liked the name 'NEON CINEMA' because it is different, and it sound useful. It is also easy to edit.
EBI:
A limitation of using this identity is that there is a risk that the color may be to bold in which
others may not like.
Our fourth identity is called 'POPFLIX PRODUCTIONS'
The Plan:
The idea is to have popcorn falling into a bowl whist the words appear on the screen.
WWW:
Our group really liked this production identity as popcorn is a snack that everybody enjoys, therefore it can be related to. Our group liked the name 'POPFLIX' as it sounds very youthful.
EBI:
This identity would be very difficult to edit, and as our group does not have a lot of experience editing it will be difficult to create.

We like all these possible choices of identification manes for our trailer and found it difficult to chose on our own so, we did a tally among 30 people who had the choice of 2- as we will be presenting 2 production companies in the film trailer. The 2 most preffered names 'Neon Cinema' and 'Picturehouse Productions.'
The film identities that our group has decided to use is 'PICTUREHOUSE PRODUCTIONS' and 'NEON CINEMA' The reason why we picked these two identities is because we believed that these identities are creative, interesting, and easy to edit, and also most preffered.
WHAT HAVE I LEARNT?
Through this research our group was able to start to plan what production identity we will use for our trailer. By pointing out the benefits and limitations of each identity we were able to take into consideration all factors, so we are able to choose a identity that is suitable for our trailer.
